Brian connects with each participant on a personal level. He enjoys teaching and technical writing. His articles have been published Internationally and he recently retired as a HVAC Contractor to devote his full attention to BTrained and his students.

Brian has been in the HACR industry for more than 40 years. During this time he has experienced and maintained equipment in all aspects of the field including:

About Kathy Byrom

INSTRUCTOR

+25 Years of Experience in the HACR Industry

Kathy is co-owner of BTrained and former Executive Director of the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors Licensing Agency, where she led statewide licensing, enforcement, and regulatory development for over 17 years.

Experience

A licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Kathy brings deep expertise in contractor licensing, compliance, and regulatory systems. She is a past President of the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) & the Alabama Association of Regulatory Boards(AARB) and is a recognized leader in HVAC education and workforce development.

Through BTrained, Kathy is dedicated to preparing HVAC professionals for licensing success and real-world field excellence.
